Resumen
By 2015, nearly 35 years after its inception, FECOVITA (Argentine Winemaking Cooperatives’ Federation) had consolidated as one of Argentina’s two largest winemaking companies, strengthening, as a result, its 29 member cooperatives, which gathered over 5,000 small and medium-sized growers in Mendoza Province (see Exhibit 1 for a map of Argentina’s winemaking area, including Mendoza and the location of FECOVITA’s cooperatives). FECOVITA largely stood out in the table wine market, as it owned TORO, a 120-year-plus-old wine brand with a strong domestic market valuation
